I personally have never seen Anthony Robbins live, but I've seen him numerous times on TV and on tape. I've read almost all of his books and numerous programs. I agree with the writer of the article below. The motivational experience is awesome!

Anthony Robbins about Live: – He Just Gets Better & Better
darsh from mumbai
I have been following Anthony Robbins for about 18 years or so now, with his books and in my time, cassette tapes. It was not until last year in May I decided to see him live in London to determine whether this peak performance coach was as good as his tapes. I came away from that event under no illusion that this man was the master of motivation. His skills and relationship with the audience was extraordinary. Within 10 days I had lost a stone and within 5 months I had left my full time job of 19 years to full fill my own destiny and my own business consultancy.
His return date to London was February 2006, so I decided to recharge my batteries and see if this Anthony Robbins was as good the second time around. After all, this time there were going to be no surprises, as I knew what was coming."
The astonishing thing was that even though I now knew the programme of events it came across totally different. I was sitting next to new friends with different challenges; I had also brought my wife this time. Because there is so much audience interaction and new questions were being asked and new problems were being dealt with and my situation had changed since the first time, I found myself going through a totally different leaning experience to the first event. It fact it was almost as though I had not been there before, although it has to be true that I opened up quicker to those around me the second time.

Is Anthony Robbins Losing His Motivational Show "Breakthrough"?
According To the article below by Danny Rongo of Newsvine, NBC have decided to pull Tony Robbins' show "Breakthrough" after only two episodes. If that's the case, it's really a shame. For once we had something positive to tune in on and maybe even to learn something. Read the rest of the articles below.

Breakthrough With Tony Robbins -- TV Review
By Barry Garron, July 26, 2010 04:40 ET
Bottom Line: Heart-tugging? Definitely. A breakthrough? That remains to be seen.
It would be a lot easier to know what to make of NBC's "Breakthrough With Tony Robbins" if it were possible to separate the actual breakthrough from Robbins' upbeat motivational patter. In the show, the two are intertwined, and viewers only can hope that the permanent breakthrough Robbins promises throughout the show actually will occur.
Robbins, among the best known of motivational speakers, has filled arenas and made a fortune parceling out such platitudes as "Confront your real issues" and "Exceed your expectations." In this six-episode series, he tries to apply this advice to people facing big obstacles.
In the premiere, Robbins takes on the desperate case of Frank and Kristen Alioto. Their dream of a destination wedding in December 2008 in lovely Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, turned into a nightmare that same evening. Just hours after the ceremony, Frank jumped into the pool, broke his neck and became a quadriplegic.
In moments, Kristen's role changed from wife to caretaker, her duties performed between bouts of crying. For Frank, life became a series of pills taken with meals.
Can Robbins turn things around for this unlucky but loving couple? He promises them "greater joy and freedom than you ever knew before." In return, Frank provides a commercial/testimonial for Robbins, one of the show's executive producers. "I know Tony's met with world leaders, and I know he's met with important people, but now he's taking time to talk with me." Magnanimous as that might seem, it is the raison d'etre for the show.

Primetime series, "Breakthrough with Tony Robbins," on NBC

Anthony Robbins motivated about his new NBC show
By James Hibberd
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) -
For three decades, personal-development coach Anthony Robbins has had a presence on TV via his late-night infomercials.
On July 27, he'll launch his first primetime series, "Breakthrough with Tony Robbins," on NBC, where the multi-millionaire author and speaker will use his techniques on people seeking to improve their lives.
A reality tv show on a major network is a long-odds business, and when things don't work out it's very public. If this show doesn't work, is that going to bother you?
Robbins: It already has worked out because my outcomes for the show are simple. I knew it was a huge risk, but it was worth it because I wanted to do something that was different and unique and would inspire people. NBC sees it as a series, I see as six specials -- that's all I agreed to do. So I'm not committing to do this going forward, I'm committed to take on these six families' lives and transform them.
